Position Summary
The Treasury Relationship Manager (TRM) is responsible for developing and deepening relationships with commercial banking clients by delivering tailored treasury and cash management solutions that support their business objectives. This role partners closely with Commercial Bankers, Treasury Management Officers, and Product Specialists to identify client needs, design customized solutions, and drive revenue growth through effective cross-selling of treasury products and services.
The ideal candidate is a strategic advisor with a deep understanding of commercial banking, working capital optimization, and digital treasury technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary treasury advisor for an assigned portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and retention.
Partner with Relationship Managers to deliver proactive treasury reviews and identify opportunities to expand product utilization.
Lead client discussions around cash flow optimization, liquidity management, and payment efficiency.
Business Development
Source new treasury business from existing and prospective commercial clients through strategic calling and referral efforts.
Collaborate with Commercial Banking Officers to design and deliver comprehensive working capital solutions.
Maintain a strong pipeline of treasury opportunities aligned with overall bank growth goals.
Product Knowledge & Implementation
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of treasury products including payables, receivables, fraud prevention, merchant services, and online banking platforms.
Coordinate with Treasury Operations and Implementation teams to ensure seamless onboarding and integration of treasury services.
Stay current with evolving fintech solutions, industry trends, and regulatory developments impacting treasury management.
Risk Management & Compliance
Ensure all client solutions and account structures comply with internal policies, regulatory standards, and risk management practices.
Support client education around fraud mitigation and digital security best practices.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or CTP designation preferred.
Minimum 5–10 years of treasury management or commercial banking experience, with a proven record of relationship growth and revenue generation.
Strong understanding of commercial deposit products, cash management services, and digital payment platforms.
