Job Title: Treasury Operations Specialist
Reports To: Head of Treasury Management / Treasury Manager
Position Summary
The Treasury Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Treasury department, including cash management, funds transfers, account reconciliation, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions. This role plays a critical part in maintaining liquidity, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The Treasury Operations Specialist works closely with internal teams such as Accounting, Finance, and Risk, as well as external banking partners.
Key Responsibilities
Process and monitor daily cash transactions, wire transfers, ACH payments, and other treasury-related transactions
Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner
Monitor daily cash positions and ensure adequate liquidity for operational and strategic needs
Maintain accurate records of all treasury activities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
Assist in the administration of corporate bank accounts, including opening/closing accounts and maintaining signatory authorities
Support cash forecasting efforts and help identify opportunities for improving cash utilization
Collaborate with banking partners and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve transaction efficiency
Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX controls, and applicable regulatory requirements
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of treasury systems and banking platforms
Participate in treasury-related projects and initiatives, such as process improvements, system upgrades, or banking relationship reviews
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Experience: 2–5 years of experience in treasury operations, banking, finance, or a related area
Skills:
Strong understanding of cash management principles, treasury products, and payment systems (e.g., SWIFT, ACH, Fedwire)
Familiarity with treasury workstations and banking portals (e.g., Kyriba, FIS, or similar)
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Certifications (optional but beneficial)
Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)
Accredited ACH Professional (AAP)
