  • Prepare detailed credit memoranda and risk narratives for presentation to senior credit officers and loan committee.

  • Monitor portfolio performance through periodic financial statement reviews, covenant tracking, borrowing base certificate administration, and borrower site visits as appropriate.

  • Identify, articulate, and mitigate key credit risks within each transaction, presenting a balanced and well-supported recommendation to credit decision makers.

Business Development Support & Relationship Management

  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers on prospect calling, proposal development, and term sheet preparation to support new business generation.

  • Participate in borrower meetings, site visits, and introductory calls to build direct relationships with business owners, CFOs, and key financial decision makers.

  • Support cross-sell efforts by identifying opportunities to deepen relationships through treasury management, deposit products, interest rate risk management tools, and other bank services.

  • Serve as a responsive and knowledgeable point of contact for existing borrowers on credit-related questions, covenant inquiries, and facility management matters.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure all credits are underwritten, structured, and documented in accordance with the bank’s credit policy, loan policy guidelines, and applicable regulatory standards.

  • Identify early warning signs of credit deterioration and proactively communicate concerns to credit administration and relationship leadership.

  • Support the bank’s classified asset management process for any portfolio credits that migrate to watch, special mention, or classified status.

  • Assist with internal loan review, credit exam preparation, and responses to regulatory or auditor findings as needed.

  • Maintain working knowledge of relevant banking regulations including FDIC, OCC, and Federal Reserve guidance applicable to commercial lending.
