Job Title: Market President – DFW (Commercial Banking Focus)


Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX


Position Summary


The Market President – DFW is responsible for leading and growing the bank’s Commercial Banking presence across the Dallas-Fort Worth market. This executive role drives market strategy, business development, and overall performance, with a primary focus on expanding Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) relationships.


The Market President serves as the senior leader in the region, responsible for building a high-performing commercial banking team, deepening client relationships, and enhancing the bank’s visibility and reputation in the marketplace.


Key Responsibilities


Market Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive market strategy centered on Commercial Banking growth

  • Identify opportunities to expand market share in C&I and CRE lending

  • Represent the bank as the senior leader in the DFW region, strengthening brand presence and community engagement

Commercial Banking Growth

  • Drive production across commercial lending, deposits, and treasury management services

  • Actively manage and grow a portfolio of high-value commercial relationships

  • Lead efforts to attract middle-market and large commercial clients

Business Development

  • Serve as a lead business developer, cultivating relationships with key clients, prospects, and centers of influence (CPAs, attorneys, private equity sponsors)

  • Generate new revenue opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking

  • Partner with senior executives and product specialists to win complex deals

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing Commercial Banking team, including Relationship Managers and support staff

  • Establish clear production goals and accountability standards

  • Foster a strong sales culture focused on relationship growth and client satisfaction

Credit Oversight & Risk Management

  • Ensure sound credit quality and adherence to underwriting standards across the commercial portfolio

  • Participate in credit approvals, structuring, and risk discussions for complex transactions

  • Monitor portfolio performance and proactively address emerging risks

Cross-Sell & Product Integration

  • Promote a full-service banking approach by integrating treasury management, capital markets, and wealth management solutions

  • Partner with internal product teams to deliver customized financial solutions to commercial clients

Financial Performance

  • Own market-level P&L, including loan growth, deposit generation, and fee income

  • Manage expenses and ensure efficient resource allocation

  • Track and report on performance metrics and market trends

Community & Industry Engagement

  • Serve as a visible leader in the DFW business community

  • Participate in industry associations, economic development initiatives, and community organizations

  • Enhance the bank’s reputation as a leading Commercial Banking provider

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)

  • 12–15+ years of experience in Commercial Banking, with a strong focus on C&I lending

  • Proven leadership experience managing high-performing commercial banking teams

  • Demonstrated success in business development and market expansion

  • Strong credit acumen and experience with complex commercial transactions

Preferred Skills

  • Established network within the Dallas-Fort Worth commercial market

  • Deep expertise in C&I and/or CRE lending

  • Strong strategic thinking and market analysis capabilities

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and executive presence

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational growth
